We are currently looking for a Painting Prefab Workshop Inspector (QA/QC).

Location: Sines, Portugal

Work Modality: On-site

Responsibilities:

• Supervise surface preparation activities (abrasive blasting, degreasing, profiling) ensuring compliance with standards.

• Verify the correct application of coatings (primer, intermediate, finishes) and adequate dry film thickness (DFT).

• Inspect procedures and international standards (ISO 12944, NACE, SSPC, ASTM).

• Perform tests: roughness, adhesion, relative humidity, dew point, and curing time.

• Record material traceability and prepare detailed inspection reports.

• Identify and report non-conformities and coordinate corrective measures.

• Review and approve inspection procedures and plans (ITP).

• Ensure compliance with project safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

Education:

• Technical degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in coating inspection within prefab workshops or industrial projects.

• Experience in large-scale projects in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy, or Hydrogen.

Certifications:

• NACE Level 2 Certification (mandatory) or equivalent.

• Solid knowledge of international standards: ISO 12944, SSPC, NACE, ASTM.

Languages:

• Fluent English (mandatory, spoken and written).

• Portuguese is a plus.
